Description

The Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (the CCCCC) has received financing from “Green Climate Fund (GCF)” toward the cost of the project titled “The R’s (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) for Climate Resilience Wastewater Systems in Barbados (3R-CReWS) project” and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards the contracting of a “Consultancy to Develop a Gender Sensitive and Socially Inclusive Programme to Incentivize Water Conservation, Recycling and Re-use in Barbados”. The purpose of this assignment is to design a comprehensive, evidence-based gender-sensitive, and socially inclusive incentive program to promote water conservation, recycling, reuse and the acceptance of reclaimed water in Barbados. The consultant will assess existing practices, identify behavioral and structural barriers, and recommend practical strategies to support demand-side water management. Key outputs will include a final consultant report synthesizing findings and recommendations; development of tailored tools such as a strategy document to build public trust and participation across all demographics, an implementation plan, and a structured incentive program.
