Purpose of this Advance Proposed Procurement NoticeThis is an advance notice for the procurement of a Contractor to complete a culvert replacement on Highway 49 between Pelly and Norquay, Saskatchewan.
Please note that all quantities and project details are subject to change. This tender will have a shortened advertising period and will have an early completion date. The work is expected to take place as early as August 2026, with a specified completion date as early as October 1, 2026. The Ministry reserves the right to not proceed with advertising this work.Description of the Procurement:SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF TWO 2 400 mm DIAMETER POLYMER LAMINATED CORRUGATED STEEL PIPE CULVERTS by open excavation of the Roadway on Highway No. 49, 5.5 km west of its junction with Highway No. 8; for a TOTAL LENGTH OF 46 m.Any questions regarding the above can be sent to[email protected]ca with the subject line: “H26081- Advance Notice”.Tender documents will be added when available.
The following quantities are initial design estimates and are subject to change in the issued tender documents. Estimated quantities of materials (subject to change): Proposed Culverts – Ministry supplied: 2 – 2400 mm x 23 m long Polymer Laminated Corrugated Steel Pipe 125 mm x 25 mm corrugations 2.8 mm wall thickness 17 m, 6 m segment lengths for each culvert 2 couplers in total – semi corrugated with gaskets Removal and Disposal of Culverts – 27m Earth Excavation – 1,060m Supply and Placement of Topsoil – 30 m3 Earth Embankment – 640 m3 Granular Base Course – 340 t Asphalt Concrete – 65 t Random Riprap Type II – 150 m3 Supply and Install Silt Fence – 100 m Supply and Install Erosion Control Blanket – 900 m2 Erosion Control Blanket – 900 m2 Granular Backfill in Place – 750 m3 The contractor will be responsible for supplying borrow material, granular backfill, geotextiles, riprap, sub-base course, granular base course, asphalt concrete, and erosion control materials to replace the culvert. The Ministry will begin procurement for culverts ahead of tendering to expedite construction.
