ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION
The Word Bank is looking for a firm to collect the data needed for a nationally representative childcare situation assessments in Kenya as part of a Global assessment under the
Invest in Childcare
Initiative. The data collected and delivered by the firm will be used by the World Bank to produce a country report and as input for the main global report. The data collection should include: (i) A demand-side survey of households with children from0 to 6 years old; (ii) A supply-side survey of childcare and early education providers (including formally registered and informal childcare providers and education centers); (iii) a series of up to 20 focus groups; and an (iv) enabling environment review.
This work will generate nationally representative data on the availability, affordability, and quality of childcare and early education arrangements in Kenya, contributing to both a country-level report and a global comparative study. The data will inform policy dialogue and investment decisions related to childcare and women's economic participation. Table 1 includes a summary of key components and topics covered.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The World Bank Group invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services.
Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals).
Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB. Firms may associate to enhance their qualifications unless otherwise stated in the solicitation documents. Where a group of firms associate to submit an EOI, they must indicate which is the lead firm. If shortlisted, the firm identified in the EOI as the lead firm will be invited to the request for proposal (RFP) phase.
