Achiziția va permite crearea une legături internaționale cuantice de schimb de chei (QKD) ce va sta la baza transmisiunilor securizate în diverse domenii de activitate din România cu țara vecină extinzând aplicabilitatea la nivel european (EuroQCI): agenții guvernamentale, medicină, sistemul bancar, cercetare. Astfel va crește gradul de securitate oferit transmisiunilor de date prin folosirea cheilor de criptare schimbate în rețeaua cuantica. Acestea nu vor putea fi interceptate de atacatori prin natura tehnologiei folosite. Echipamente de comunicație cuantice, fiecare cu KMS-ul aferent (integrat sau separat) – minim 1 pereche
