Agency: UNDP | Reference: UNDP-JOR-00722 | Type: Request for proposal The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), with support from the UNDP Regional Bureau for Arab States (RBAS) through the Engagement Facility Project, Regional Crisis Response Mechanism for Sub-regional Crisis, is implementing the project “From Crisis Response to System Resilience: Jordan Crisis-Resilient Demand Flexibility Package”. The project responds to the growing risks arising from the ongoing regional geopolitical crisis, which is disrupting energy markets, trade routes, and supply chains, with significant implications for Jordans energy security, economic stability, and the continuity of essential services. Given Jordans heavy reliance on imported energy and limited fiscal space, the project seeks to strengthen national resilience by advancing demand flexibility solutions that enhance the reliability of critical infrastructure, improve power system resilience, and support a more adaptive and sustainable energy system.Under the guidance and direct supervision of the UNDP project team, and in close coordination with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) and relevant entities,  The company shall work in close coordination with the consultant or team responsible for Output (1) to ensure that the manual, implementation tools, institutional responsibilities, reporting arrangements and proposed rollout approach are aligned with the national Demand Flexibility Coordination Mechanism and the action plan developed under the project.Where relevant, the firm shall also coordinate with the team responsible for Output (3) to ensure that recommendations related to load management, operating schedules, peak-demand reduction and monitoring can inform the future Automated Demand-Side Management and Demand Response pilot. Regular coordination meetings, information sharing, and joint validation of relevant outputs shall be undertaken to maintain consistency across the project’s outputs.Please indicate whether you intend to submit a bid by creating a draft response without submitting directly in the system.
