Description
These Terms of Reference (ToR) are for the recruitment of a survey firm (hereinafter “Firm”) to work with a research team in DEC Development Impact (DECDI) of the World Bank (hereinafter “WB Team”) to conduct data collection for an
Impact Evaluation Research Project.
This research project aims to assess the impact of delivering three types of interventions to parents and adolescents (10-15 years old) of northern Nigeria: (i)community screenings of aspirational videos, (ii) distribution of mobile phones preloaded with literacy and numeracy apps, and (iii) learning workshops for these adolescents to become household literacy instructors.
The Firm will be responsible for undertaking two primary data collection activities:
Data Collection Activity 1- Endline survey of children and their parents, and neighborhood children.
The Firm will visit households (one parent, one 10-15-year old adolescent, and one 6-9-year-old child per household) in the school catchment areas to collect the endline survey.
The endline also includes an additional sample of neighboring children and they will be surveyed and tested using a shorter questionnaire to measure spillover effects on learning outcomes beyond the treated households

The data collection for the endline survey will be conducted after the interventions are implemented. The interventions have been completed already
