Gemeente Veldhoven is volop in beweging en onderdeel van de Brainport regio waarin sprake is van een sterke economische groei (schaalsprong). De gemeente heeft grote opgaven. In gebiedsontwikkeling De Run komen de opgaven waar we aan werken voor een groot deel samen. We werken aan een herontwikkeling van het bedrijventerrein met daarbij behoud van vierkante meter bedrijvigheid, het toevoegen van 3.000 woningen en het oplossen van uitdagingen op het gebied van mobiliteit (er loopt een HOV-lijn door het gebied), energie en klimaat. Voor deze gebiedsontwikkeling zoeken we een gebiedsontwikkelaar die in staat is om binnen deze complexe opgave te zorgen voor een succesvolle gebiedsontwikkeling binnen vaste planning (het Rijk draagt bij en verwacht dat planningen worden gehaald). Hierbij is het van belang om te verbinden, maar ook de juiste prioriteiten te stellen. Het ingeschreven tarief blijft gedurende de looptijd van de overeenkomst ongewijzigd; enige vorm van indexering is uitgesloten en derhalve niet mogelijk.
