Invitation for Bids Project name: Improved Access to Water, Water Distribution Performance and Related Sewerage Disposal in Irbid Governorate for Host Communities and Syrian Refugees. Date: Monday 3rd August 2026 IPC name: Strengthening and restructuring of the Greater Irbid City water distribution networks – Component A/Package 2 - Irbid– C1 IFB No: 49/2026/SW-C1 1. The Ministry of Water and Irrigation/Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ) has received funds from Agence Française de Développement ("AFD"), the Kreditanstalt fuer Wiederaufbau (“KFW”), and the European Union (“EU”) towards the cost of the implementation of works under the project “Improved Access to Water, Water Distribution Performance and Related Sewerage Disposal in Irbid Governorate for Host Communities and Syrian Refugees” - Component A / Package 2. It is intended that part of the proceeds of these funds will be applied to eligible payments under the contracts for: - Strengthening and restructuring of the Greater Irbid City water distribution networks – Component A/Package 2 - Irbid– C1 2. The Ministry of Water and Irrigation/Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the construction and completion of Strengthening and restructuring of the Greater Irbid City water distribution networks – Component A/Package 2 - Irbid– C1 ("the Works"). 3. Below is a brief description of the Works: a) 32.278 km DI pressurized pipelines of diameter DN 200 mm to DN 600 mm. b) 17.495 km HDPE pressurized pipelines of diameter OD 125 mm + OD 160mm. c) Supply and installation of Isolation Valves, Air Valves, PRV, PSV, Electromagnetic/ Ultrasonic Flow Meters with chambers and Fire Hydrants. d) Construction of one (1) Pumping Station in Zebdat e) Construction of one (1) Booster Station in Beit Ras f) Construction of one (1) Hydro pneumatic Booster at Engineering Complex g) Construction of one (1) Warehouse in Bait Ras h) Supply and Installation of SCADA system 4. Eligible Bidders: i) Sole Bidders: - Local Jordanian Contractors who shall be classified as First Grade in Water/ Wastewater networks as per GTD Classification. - International Contractors who shall at least demonstrate equivalent qualifications by experience for the scope described above. j) An association, including a joint venture (JV), of International Contractors, Local Contractors, or International and Local Contractors. In this case an agreement of JV or association must be submitted in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. In case of award this agreement must be certified by the notary before contract signature. Local Jordanian Contractors shall be classified as First Grade in Water/ Wastewater networks as per GTD Classification. International Contractors shall demonstrate at least equivalent qualifications by experience for the scope described above. 5.
