Structural design for the renovation of Kilpinen school

The subject of the procurement is the implementation design for the renovation of the school building. The aim of the project is to prepare coordinated and implementable plans for the renovation of the existing building so that the technical, functional, and health level of the building is brought up to current requirements and the premises serve the needs of educational activities. Implementation design includes architectural, structural, and building services (HVAC and electrical) design, as well as the coordination of these design areas. The renovation is intended to be carried out partially, allowing school activities to continue on site. Laser scanning has been performed at the site, which serves as the basis for the implementation design. This is a renovation of an existing school building, which is why the design emphasizes the consideration of existing structures and systems and the coordination of design solutions. The implementation design will be done using a building information modeling approach as a three-dimensional model, which will be utilized in design meetings and user collaboration. Design meetings and user consultations will primarily be held at the project site at the client's invitation.
