Extension of Contract for Medicine Dose Dispensing Service

Keski-Suomen hyvinvointialue (hereinafter also the Contracting Authority) has procured a machine-based dose dispensing service for medicines from Hankasalmen apteekki. The procurement contract is expiring on May 31, 2026. The Contracting Authority has competitively tendered the procurement (tender number 606011). To ensure uninterrupted service continuity during the transition period before the new contracting party's service begins, the Contracting Authority has decided to extend the current contract for the machine-based dose dispensing service for medicines with Hankasalmen apteekki under the current contract terms for the period of June 1, 2026 – September 30, 2026. This is a temporary extension of the contract for the transition period. The procurement is subject to Section 136, Paragraph 2, Point 2 of the Act on Public Procurement and Concession Contracts (1397/2016). The amendment to the contracts is, as referred to in Section 136 of the Procurement Act, of minor value, and the amendment will not affect the general nature of the contracts. The estimated total value of the contract amendments, excluding VAT, is less than the maximum value of the amendment as per Section 136 of the Procurement Act, i.e., 50 percent of the total value of the original contracts. The estimated total value of the contract amendment, excluding VAT, is approximately EUR 15,500 for the period of June 1, 2026 – September 30, 2026. The extension of the contract has been negotiated with the aforementioned service provider.
