In der Werkstatt für thermische Fahrzeuge werden mittels Hallenzubau und /-erweiterung vier Gleise mit Gruben auf eine Nutzlänge von 20 m ausgebaut. Weiters werden Ersatzflächen für Materiallager und Büroräumlichkeiten geschaffen. Im Gleisfeld vor den Werkstatthallen werden die Gleise der D-Gruppe erneuert bzw. in der Lage auf die Geometrien der neuen Halleneinfahrten angepasst. Im neu zu errichtenden Untergeschoss wird die Innenraumschaltanlage für die Fahrleitung untergebracht. Das Untergeschoss wird in Massivbauweise erstellt und misst ca. 27.2 mal 24.8 Meter. In der Verlängerung zur bestehenden Halle wird eine neue, rund 28.4 mal 14.4 Meter große Halle (Halle West) in Stahlbauweise erstellt (Zweigelenk-Rahmenkonstruktion mit 6 m Stützenraster), die Halle verfügt über ein Halbgeschoss unter Terrain in Massivbauweise. Die Werkstatterweiterung, Halle Ost (17.7 mal 13.4 Meter) ist teilweise unterkellert. Sie wird als eingeschossiger Stahlbau erstellt. Weiters wird ein zweigeschossiger Zwischenbau (15.7 mal 8.2 Meter) in Massivbauweise erstellt, der ebenfalls teilweise unterkellert ist.
