Republic of Malawi Department of E-Government TENDERING WITH SEALED BIDS FOR DISPOSAL OF MOTOR VEHICLES Disposal Reference Number: DoEG/PDU/DISP/01/2026 Date of Issue: 8th August, 2026 1. Department of E-Government intends to dispose-off Motor Vehicles in the 2026-2027 financial year. The department therefore invites interested individuals to submit their sealed bids for purchase of the motor vehicles on as-is-basis. 2. Bidding will be conducted through open tendering with sealed bids and in full compliance with the provision of Malawi’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act of 2025 and its Subsidiary Legislations. Bidding is open to Malawian citizens bidders who will be required to submit copies of their national identification cards. 4. Bidders will be allowed to bid for one, all or any number of motor vehicles and evaluation of bids will be done on item basis. However, successful bidders will only be allowed to purchase one motor vehicle unless there is no other bidder. 5. In line with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Act, 2025, the Department of e-Government staff or their relatives (children, spouses, siblings, parents or guardians) will not be allowed to participate in the bidding process. 6. Successful bidders will be required to pay 50% of the bid value as deposit within 14 days from the offer date and balance to be paid within 14 days after transfer of tittle. 8. Sealed bids marked with disposal reference number should be delivered to the address at 9(b) below and deposited in the Tender Box on or before Thursday, 27th August, 2026 at 14:00 hours local time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted and late bids shall be rejected.
