Description

The Rural Municipality of Corman Park No. 344 (the “R.M.”) invites proposals from qualified law firms to provide municipal legal services on an as-needed basis and/or under an optional retainer arrangement.The successful proponent will provide legal services within the Saskatchewan municipal operating environment and demonstrate strong experience in the following areas:• Human Resources / employment and labour matters• Planning, development, engineering, and land use matters• Bylaw enforcement• Policing services and governance• Finance and taxation• Municipal governance, administrative law, and statutory interpretationThe successful proponent will be expected to advise the R.M. under applicable Saskatchewan legislation, including but not limited to:• The Municipalities Act• The Planning and Development Act, 2007• The Police Act, 1990• The Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (LAFOIP)• Other provincial statutes, regulations, and bylaws affecting municipal operations.
