Description

This procurement is for the construction of drainage structures and associated works required to remove identified obstructions from the declared Murray Valley West drainage course. The works will reinstate or improve natural drainage flow paths across the catchment, reducing flood risk, waterlogging and related salinity impacts. The scope includes 25 obstruction sites grouped into four separately awardable packages, including reinforced-concrete box culverts with guardrails and half-road closures on sealed shire roads, reinforced-concrete pipe culverts, a farm channel subway, on-farm bank removals, and clean-and-beach works. Works are located on Moira Shire Council roads and private farming properties near Picola in northern Victoria. On completion, ownership and ongoing responsibility for each completed structure will transfer to Moira Shire Council or the relevant landowner, as applicable.
