DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORT AND MAIN ROADS Proserpine – Shute Harbour Road Duplication (PSHRD) Project No: 1510612, 1197433 Contract Number: CN-27691 The PSHRD project will duplicate approximately 1.9 km of Proserpine – Shute Harbour Road (Ch 17.70 km to 19.60 km) at Cannonvale, the only route to and from Airlie Beach. Key features of the project include: • Duplication of the road from one lane to two lanes in each direction • Upgrade of the Paluma Road intersection to traffic signals • Other intersection and access upgrades along the corridor • Drainage upgrades, including new and extended culverts • New road lighting, traffic signals and ITS equipment • New bus stops and shelters, footpaths, and kerb and channel • Relocation of public utility plant.
