The primary objective is to develop, analyse, integrate, and visualize geospatial and remote sensing information to support the assessment of readiness for community-based blue carbon projects, particularly mangrove and seagrass projects. The Consultant will provide spatial evidence for the six dimensions of the Blue Carbon Readiness Framework (BCRF) and support the development of spatially explicit readiness maps to inform blue carbon project development and decision-making. The Consultant will be responsible for contributions to the following technical domains:Geospatial Database Development and Data ManagementBlue Carbon Ecosystem Mapping and AnalysisRemote Sensing and Google Earth Engine (GEE) AnalysisThematic Mapping and Spatial AnalysisSpatial Support to the BCRF Readiness DimensionsSpatial Readiness Index and Readiness MappingSpatial Data Quality Control, Validation, and VisualizationPeriod of assignment/services: 70 working days within 6 monthsThe assignment is home-based, with travel to Jakarta and other locations within Indonesia as required and subject to prior approval.The assignment is home-based in Indonesia, with any required travel subject to the assignment requirements and UNDP rules and regulations.
