Description

The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA; the Customer) requires the manufacturing, commissioning, and supply of three multi-purpose patrol vessels constructed in accordance with the requirements of the National Standards for Commercial Vessels (NSCV), Western Australian (WA) Marine Act (1982), and the Uniform Shipping Law Code (USL Code), as required: Category A : approximately 12-14 metre patrol vessel. Category B: approximately 8 metre patrol vessel with heavy-duty trailer. Category C: approximately 5.5 metre patrol vessel with heavy-duty trailer. The vessels are intended to conduct marine operations in Western Australia for the management of the South Coast Marine Parks. The vessels must be able to safely operate in the remote locations and southern WA waters between Albany and Eucla, undertaking operations including patrol and enforcement; research and monitoring programs requiring island and coastal access; education and training programs; and incident response. Respondents may nominate one or more categories.
