De dienstverlening bestaat uit:
- Op een zo duurzame en milieuvriendelijke mogelijke wijze curatief bestrijden van plaagdieren in de openbare ruimte (en tuinen), daar waar ze tot overlast zijn of een gevaar vormen voor de volksgezondheid n.a.v. meldingen van burgers;
- Routine controles gemeentelijke locaties diverse plaagdieren (zie bijlage 4);
- Bijbehorende aspecten gaan over duurzaamheid, voorlichting, management en communicatie.
De bestrijding van de eikenprocessierups is niet opgenomen in de werkzaamheden, omdat dit het aantal geschikte leveranciers, om in te schrijven op deze opdracht, beperkt. Daarnaast is er afgelopen jaren weinig inzet geweest op deze bestrijding. Het beleid hierop wordt volgend jaar opgesteld. Voor de uitvoering zal vooralsnog gebruik worden gemaakt van de percelenregeling conform artikel 2.18 en 2.19 Aanbestedingswet 2012.
De gemeente Waalwijk kan, in overleg met de leverancier, de bestrijding van nieuwe plaagdieren toevoegen aan de raamovereenkomst.
