General Planner SIA 32-53 for the Compensation Coil System at Mühleberg Substation

The 380/220 kV Mühleberg substation is located in the municipality of Mühleberg in the canton of Bern. This substation was commissioned in 2012 and is in good condition regarding the building, switchgear, transformer, and ancillary facilities. The objective of the project is the installation of a compensation coil, also known as a "Variable Shunt Reactor" (VSR), including the necessary infrastructure. In parallel, all secondary systems, telecommunication installations, and auxiliary systems for the 380 kV and 220 kV installations will be renewed. In 2025, a preliminary project (SIA 31) presenting different variants was therefore developed for this project. The decision on the choice of variant was made in 2026. This tender aims to recruit the general planner for SIA phases 32 to 53 to ensure the planning and coordination of this project, with phases SIA 51 to 53 being awarded as an option. In addition to the scope of services specific to their area of expertise, the client also assumes overall supervision and coordination of all involved specialist areas, including associated interfaces, as the general planner in the sense of SIA 103.
