Description
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Government of Manitoba (“Manitoba”), as represented by the Minister of Public Service Delivery, on behalf of the Owner ofthe project, Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corporation (“Owner”) to prospective General Contractors to submit proposal for waterline upgrades and common area refresh as further described in Section 1 of the RFP Particulars (Appendix 3) (the “Work”).In consideration of Manitoba’s procurement policies and applicable trade agreements, for this Solicitation, preference will be given to Canadian suppliers who have submitted compliant submissions meeting all essential requirements of the solicitation. Manitoba may re-issue thistender at its sole discretion.Manitoba and the Contractor acknowledge and agree that, upon contract award, the Contractor shall collaborate with Manitoba to identify and procure an alternative product in cases where anon-Canadian manufactured product has been proposed. Alternative products made in Canada will be preferred and must be equivalent in quality and performance to the originally specified product,where possible. Any cost variances shall be substantiated with supporting documentation, including invoices and receipts.The work is being done in a twenty-unit single-storey apartment building located at 307 7th Ave South, Swan River, Manitoba. The Worksite location will be partially occupied during construction.Procurement and Supply Chain (PSC) is administering this RFP process on behalf of Manitoba.
