The overall goal of the Project is to enhance water replenishment through the deployment of nature- based solutions (NbS) on catchment restoration and sustainable management of water resources in Ngerengere sub basin. Statement of Requirements for Goods v1 March2024 More specifically, the NbS4Water Project aims to: a) Strengthening institutional capacity for IWRM b) Restoring degraded catchment areas and sustainably managing priority water systems through the deployment of NbS c) Promoting water stewardship through the implementation of sustainable alternative livelihood practices The Project is promoting the planting of trees in priority areas within the Ngerengere catchment to help restore degraded areas and incentivize communities to conserve watershed systems.
