Carrying out a Luxmobil survey - Sunday

In January 2025, the MMTP launched Luxmobil 2025, the mobility survey for Luxembourg residents. The objective of this survey is to update the knowledge of mobility behaviors, in order to provide public authorities with the necessary data for understanding and planning mobility and travel. Indeed, the substantial improvement of the transport offer in Luxembourg since the last survey in 2017 (implementation of the tram, new P+R, reorganization of the RGTR...) and the succession of major events in recent years (COVID, free public transport) have led to new behaviors, and undoubtedly modified others, so it has become necessary to measure these changes (use of teleworking, increased use of bicycles and public transport...). Luxmobil 2025 focused on the travel of Luxembourg residents on weekdays and Saturdays. To complement this data and thus obtain a complete vision of travel, the MMTP wishes to conduct a survey on Sunday travel. To encompass all cross-border economic actors, and thus benefit from complete and essential data, particularly for the development of the PNM2040, the MMTP now wishes to conduct the survey among cross-border workers residing in the border region of Belgium and the border region of Germany. Furthermore, regularly confronted with the Cerema Certified Surveys (EMC²) in the context of cross-border projects with France, the MMTP has noted the solidity and reliability of these surveys. In this context, Luxmobil Sunday approaches the EMC² methodology deployed for Luxmobil 2025 as closely as possible.
