Description

Lithgow City Council is seeking proposals from suitable consultants to design and construct a solution to a roadside landslip on Wolgan Road, within the Wolgan Valley. The section of road affected is positioned adjacent to the Wolgan River. In 2022, following a heavy rain event, the river rose significantly and scoured the side of the bank away, leading to the landslip, affecting the roadway above. The site is located within the Wolgan Valley and access is currently restricted due to a larger landslip that has led to construction of a temporary access road known as the 'Donkey Steps'. A mandatory site inspection is scheduled for 10:30am, Tuesday 18th August. Further details regarding this inspection are included in Volume 1 of the tender documents.
