Description
This Request for Information (the “RFI”) is an invitation by SaskTel to qualified suppliers to submit responses for the purposes of gathering information to assist SaskTel in assessing potential future purchasing options and defining requirements for the replacement of its legacy voice radio system with modern solutions. The objective is to gain an understanding of available technologies, vendor capabilities, implementation approaches, and indicative budgetary costs, as further described below (the “Deliverables”).Information provided in response to this RFI may be used by SaskTel to support its procurement planning and decision-making, including determining whether to proceed with a competitive procurement process, engage in further market analysis, or consider alternative procurement approaches.SaskTel currently operates an Exicom/Hawk voice radio communication system that supports operational business units. The existing system is end of life and needs replacement. SaskTel is seeking to understand available solutions that can deliver the following key functionality:Ensure high availability and reliabilitySupport clear and secure voice communicationsProvide coverage across operational areasSupport integration with existing systemsEnable future scalability and technological upgradesComply with regulatory and safety requirements
