INVITATION FOR PROPOSAL (IFP) KASUNGU MUNICIPAL COUNCIL REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) FOR CONSULTANCY ON THE UPGRADING OF MBETA ROAD TO ASPHALT STANDARD, CONSTRUCTION OF MBETA BRIDGE AND INSTALLATION OF SOLAR STREETLIGHTS IN KASUNGU MUNICIPALITY DATE OF ISSUE: 8th October 2026 1. KASUNGU MUNICIPAL COUNCIL (KUMC) has budgeted funds from Roads Fund Administration for 2026/2027 financial year, and intend to use part of the funds for Consultancy on the Upgrading of Mbeta Road to Asphalt Standard, Construction of Mbeta Bridge and Installation of Solar Streetlights in Kasungu Municipality. The chairperson of Internal Procurement & Disposal of Assets Committee (IPDC), now invites sealed bids from eligible consultants within the MK200 Million of Engineering consultancy services in Malawi; Description of works Procurement Reference number Requirements Delivery Period Consultancy on KUMC/WORKS/IPDC/RFA/01/2026 200 million 150 Days upgrading of Mbeta Category road to Asphalt standard, construction of Mbeta bridge and installation of solar streetlights in Kasungu Municipality 2. In line with section 38 of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets (PPDA) Act 2025 and its subsidiary legislations, the Council wishes to invite eligible bidders to purchase Request for Proposals (RFPs) for the afore-mentioned Consultancy at a non-refundable fee of k30,000.00 payable to Kasungu Municipal Council, Standard Bank of Malawi, Account Number 9100001585751, Kasungu branch. Eligible bidders may also pay for the RFPs through the cash office where a General Receipt shall be issued. 3. Eligible and interested bidders may collect RFP document from the Procurement and Disposal Unit (PDU), Officer No. 4 during working hours only (8:30 am to 4:30pm) from Thursday 8th October 2026. 4. RFP document must be delivered in sealed envelopes to the address below (6) at or before 10:00 hours on Friday 23rd October 2026. Late submissions shall be rejected. 5. Bid opening meeting shall take place in the Council Chamber on the same day, Friday 23rd October 2026 at 10:00 hours. 6.
