The Government of Uganda received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of implementing the Uganda Secondary Education Expansion Project (USEEP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery of assorted furniture for Classrooms, ICT and Science Laboratories, Multipurpose Halls and Administration Blocks for 72 New Secondary Schools in 9 lots under the Uganda Secondary Education Expansion Project (USEEP). For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.
Bidders may Bid for one or several contracts/lots, as further defined in the request for bids document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.
The Ministry of Education and Sports now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for supply and delivery of assorted furniture for classrooms (3-seater desks, Teachers' chairs & Tables), ICT & Science Laboratories (tables, chairs & shelves), Multipurpose Halls furniture and Administration Blocks for 72 New Secondary Schools in 9 lots as indicated in the table below;

Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers - dated July 2016, revised November 2017 and August 2018 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Education and Sports from Milton Ndyamuba on milndy2004@yahoo.com or Wilberforce Turyamubona on wturyamubona@gmail.com copy to rashidahn360@gmail.com and inspect the bidding document during office hours 08.30hrs to 16.30hrs East Africa Standard Time at the address given below under 9.
The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Uganda Shillings One Hundred Thousand Only (UGX 100,000). The method of payment will be through obtaining a Bank Payment Advice Form from the cashier on 5th Floor, Embassy House and pay at the designated Bank. On presentation of proof of payment, bidding documents may then be collected from the address at (10) given below or sent by email as may be preferred by the bidder.
Bids must be delivered to the address below under (10) on or before 11:00am on 19th November, 2026. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below under (10) at 11:15am on 19th November 2026.
All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of the amount and currency indicated in the table below;
