  1. The Government of Malawi through Ministry of Health and Sanitation has received financing from the World Bank/IDA towards the cost of the Malawi Health Emergency Preparedness, Response and Resilience Program
  2. The Ministry of Health and Sanitation intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments for procurement of Goods (Supply, Delivery, Installation and Commissioning of Fire and Safety Equipment; Mammograms and Endoscopy; and Medical Equipment for Paediatric and Dental Units)

4. Bidding will be conducted through Open National Competitive Procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (“Procurement Regulations 2025”) and is open to all eligible Bidders.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Health Email: pit.tenders@mheprr.mw, andrewngwendu@gmail.com, lingonda@gmail.com and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 11 (a) during working days from 8.00am to 12.00pm and from 1.00pm to 4.00pm.

6. A complete set of bidding document in english may be purchased by interested bidders or their representatives at cash office – room number 5, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand Malawi Kwacha (MK10,000.00) or any convertible currency acceptable to the purchaser. The bidding document will be collected from the procurement office at the address given below at 11(a) during working days. The method of payment will be cash.

7. Bids, clearly marked on the outer envelope with tender name and reference number must be delivered to the address at 11(b) below and deposited in the tender box located at Ministry of Heath, 2nd Floor at or before 10:00 hours local time on 3rd June, 2026. All bids must be accompanied by a duly signed and stamped Bid Securing Declaration Form (BSDF).

8. Electronic bidding will not be permitted and late bids shall be rejected.

9. Bids will be opened in the presence of the Bidders or bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address shown at 11(c) below at 10:00 hours local time on 3rd June, 2026.

10. Ministry of Health and Sanitation does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any other bid and reserves the right to cancel the whole or in part of the procurement proceeding at any stage.
