Description

(1) Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures, specified in the Procurement Act.
(2) Interested eligible bidders may inspect the Bidding Documents and obtain further information from the Procurement Office, Guyana Power & Light Inc. 40 Main Street during normal working hours.
(3) Bid documents will be available from July 09, 2026 and can be uplifted from the Procurement Office, Guyana Power and Light Inc 40 Main Street Georgetown upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000).

(4) Bids shall be submitted in a plain sealed envelope bearing no identification of the Bidder and marked on the top left hand corner “Supply, Installation and Commission Leguan Power Plant Switchgear, Essequibo Islands Guyana.”

The 2 electronic copies (flashdrive) should be placed in a smaller envelope and properly affixed to the original paper submission.

INVITATION FOR BIDS
The Guyana Power & Light Inc. invites bids from suitably qualified and experienced bidders for the following:
GPL-PD-025-2026 Supply, Installation and Commission Leguan Power Plant Switchgear, Essequibo Islands Guyana.

Bids will be opened in the presence of those bidders or their representatives who choose to attend at 09:00 hrs. on Thursday August 20, 2026 in the boardroom of the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board, Ministry of Finance at the above address.
(5)  All bids must be accompanied by valid certificates of compliance from the Manager of the National Insurance Scheme and the Commissioner of the Guyana Revenue Authority (applicable to Local Companies only).
(6)  All bids must be accompanied by a bid security amounting to the value specified in the bid document.
(7)  The National Procurement and Tender Administration Board, Ministry of Finance reserves the right to reject any or all bids without assigning any reason whatsoever and not necessarily to award to the lowest bidder.
