Description

Auto-translated from German

An industry dialogue and market exploration has revealed that a high-performance gigabit infrastructure with corresponding telecommunications services is not available throughout the administrative district and will not be available in the coming years, in accordance with the goals of the Gigabit Framework Regulation 2.0. The administrative district has therefore applied for funding for comprehensive gigabit expansion under the economic gap model within the framework of the guideline "Funding to Support the Gigabit Expansion of Telecommunications Networks in the Federal Republic of Germany - Federal Gigabit Guideline 2.0 (Gigabit RL 2.0)" dated March 31, 2023, as amended on April 30, 2024 ("Gigabit Guideline 2.0") and has received the notification of the final amount of the subsidy. The funding provided in this funding program under the economic gap model (hereinafter: funds) is to be passed on by administrative districts to telecommunications companies in the EU state aid law sense as investment cost aid for the construction and operation of gigabit networks. The same applies to co-financing by the Free State of Bavaria according to the guideline of the Free State of Bavaria.
