Samen met je collega houd je toezicht op voorzieningen in het kader van de Wet maatschappelijke ondersteuning en de Jeugdwet. Dit doe je op basis van de signalen, regulier onderzoek en thematisch onderzoeken. Je kijkt naar de aanbieders, maar ook intern of de kwaliteit op orde is. Je doet dit aan de hand van kwaliteitsonderzoek en werkt met een veldinstrument en verschillende kwaliteitskaders (Jeugd en Wmo). Aan de hand van onderzoek, gesprekken en verzamelde informatie maak je een onafhankelijke afweging en dit rapporteer je in een onderzoeksrapport. Je geeft indien nodig advies over een handhavingsmaatregel. Daarnaast ben je de spin in het web binnen de organisatie en signaleer je knelpunten. Bijvoorbeeld op het gebied van beleid of uitvoering. Hierin ben je adviseur en geef je deze knelpunten aan, zodat de desbetreffende afdeling hiermee aan de slag kan gaan. Je werkt niet alleen samen met andere afdelingen, maar ook met (externe) toezichthouders, GGD, RIGG en de inspectie. Hierin ben je het aanspreekpunt en tevens de verbinder voor de gemeente.
