Agency: UNDP | Reference: UNDP-SLV-00587 | Type: Request for proposal SDP - National Diagnosis on conflicts related to water resource management and existing dialogue spaces in the municipality of Chalatenango Norte, within the framework of the project “Peace without Borders: Promoting Inclusive Governance in Access and Use of Water Resources for Peacebuilding in the Trifinio” 2.1 General Objective Develop an initial diagnosis on existing platforms and dialogue spaces at both institutional and community levels, formal and informal, and identify current and potential conflicts related to water resource management in the municipality of Chalatenango Norte (Citalá, San Ignacio, and La Palma), a prioritized territory in El Salvador. 2.2 Specific Objectives: Specific Objective 1 – Identify current and potential conflicts related to water resource management, identifying sectors and differentiated needs in their various uses, domestic and for human consumption, agricultural, agro-industrial, ecosystem, and any other identified. ●Specific Objective 2 – Identify existing platforms and dialogue spaces at both institutional and community levels, formal and informal, ensuring the incorporation of an analysis of inequalities in the participation of women and men of all ages and indigenous populations (if any). ●Specific Objective 3 - Establish the initial situation of the knowledge and capacities of local institutions, Civil Society Organizations, and rural communities in water resource governance and in conflict prevention, management, and resolution, as well as the degree of participation of women, youth, and indigenous populations in these processes, in order to guide the design of the capacity-building curriculum.
