Description

In 2023 Walcha Council undertook investigation works including maintenance hole inspections and smoke testing to identify sources of infiltration and inflow (I&I) within the Walcha sewer network. Walcha Council have identified priority manhole remediation locations and seeking to engage a qualified contractor to complete the works. The Works generally include: - Remediation of defective maintenance holes identified in the FITT inspection program; - Remediation of Council-owned defects identified through the smoke testing program; - Validation of asset condition and ownership; - Minor excavation, repair and reinstatement works associated with the above; and - Documentation and reporting to support Council’s asset management system. These works are to be completed prior to the end financial year 2026-2027.
