Neubau des Gebäudes Technikum für Lehr- und Laborzwecke für die Fakultät Automobil- und Maschinenbau der Westsächsischen Hochschule Zwickau mit einer Nutzfläche von ca. 3 800 m². Am Standort sind bereits Gebäude des Campus vorhanden, die städtebaulich, funktionell und baurechtlich in die Überlegungen einzubeziehen sind. Der Standort befindet sich im innerstädtischen Kontext in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft zum südlichen Eingang in den historischen Altstadtkern. Mit der Baumaßnahme wird die Zielsetzung verfolgt, das städtebauliche Quartier zu schließen. Wünschenswert ist die Schaffung einer städtebaulichen Dominante im Maßverhältnis und in Beziehung zum Umfeld.
