Original language: GermanDie Fraunhofer Gesellschaft (FhG) plant in einem mehrstufigen Projekt den Aufbau einer "Forschungsfertigung Batteriezelle" (FFB), in der die neuartigen Batteriezellkonzepte und -prozesse mit digitalisierten, flexiblen und modularen Fertigungsmethoden kombiniert und erforscht werden sollen. Ziel der FFB ist die Absenkung des Entwicklungsaufwandes für die hochskalierte Produktion neuester Lithium-Ionen-Batte- riezellen. Damit soll die FFB das Risiko von industriellen Partnern bei der Überführung neuartiger Zellkonzepte und Produktionstechnologien in die Großserienfertigung wesentlich mindern und die Eintrittshür- den für neue Hersteller signifikant reduzieren. Weiter soll die Einrichtung FFB mittel- und langfristig dazu beitragen, die Qualifikation von Fachpersonal für die Batteriezellfertigung zu sichern. Die FhG wurde vom BMBF mit der Planung und Realisierung der FFB im Rahmen des Forschungsvorhabens FoFeBat beauftragt. Die FFB ist eine Fraunhofer-Einrichtung und wird in Münster aufgebaut. Das Wachstum der Infrastruktur vor Ort soll schrittweise innerhalb von mehrstufigen Planungs- und Bauphasen erfolgen.
