Aninver Development Partners is currently preparing a proposal for an upcoming consulting assignment focused on engineering and urban development in Spain. The project centers on delivering comprehensive technical assistance for the drafting of a strategic territorial and urban planning framework for a prominent municipality.

We are seeking qualified professionals for the position of Diseño Urbano y Paisajismo to join our multidisciplinary team. The selected expert will play a vital role in integrating urban design, landscape architecture, and spatial planning strategies over a 14-month implementation period.

Aninver is preparing a proposal for this assignment. The selected expert will be part of the proposed team; the engagement is conditional on the contract being awarded to Aninver. The full Terms of Reference for the position are shared with shortlisted candidates.

Objectives of the assignment

• Contribute to the drafting of an updated, integrated strategic territorial plan for the municipality.
• Ensure a coherent methodological approach combining urban design, landscape architecture, and spatial planning.
• Facilitate efficient data collection, preliminary diagnostics, and integration of existing sectoral instruments.
• Support the definition of the strategic territorial model and the development of prioritized action plans.
• Promote sustainable urban development, climate resilience, and spatial cohesion.

Scope of work

• Conduct preliminary analysis, information gathering, and baseline diagnostics related to urban design and landscape.
• Review current sectoral and territorial regulations impacting the municipality's spatial layout.
• Develop integrated strategic territorial diagnostics utilizing SWOT analysis methodologies.
• Incorporate existing urban and sectoral instruments into a cohesive spatial planning framework.
• Define future territorial scenarios and formulate the strategic urban model and action plan.
• Establish monitoring indicators and governance structures for long-term territorial management.
• Participate in stakeholder engagement processes and institutional consultation workshops.

Your role as Diseño Urbano y Paisajismo

• Execute specialized tasks in urban design and landscape architecture throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to integrate landscape criteria into the strategic territorial plan.
• Contribute to the pre-diagnostic and integrated diagnostic phases with a focus on spatial and environmental quality.
• Design future territorial scenarios and spatial models reflecting sustainable urban planning principles.
• Support the formulation of prioritized actions and monitoring frameworks for urban and landscape interventions.
• Prepare technical reports, cartographic inputs, and deliverables related to urban design and landscape architecture.
• Engage in public participation activities and institutional coordination meetings as required.

Requirements

• Education: Arquitecto/a técnico/a competente
• 3 years of experience in urban design and landscape architecture
• Languages: Spanish

Desirable

• Experience in multidisciplinary urban planning consulting for public administration clients.
• Familiarity with geographic information systems (GIS) and computer-aided design (CAD) tools in urban contexts.

A skilled technical architect with at least 3 years of experience in urban design and landscape architecture, fluent in Spanish, and eager to contribute to strategic territorial planning initiatives in Spain.
