Aninver Development Partners SL (www.aninver.com) is looking for a Expert(e) en ERPP et économie circulaire / spécialisation environnement, gestion de l’eau ou déchets (Chef de mission / Team Leader) for a water sanitation consultancy assignment financed by UNIDO in Morocco.

Aninver Development Partners is currently preparing a proposal for an upcoming UNIDO-supported initiative in Morocco focused on promoting resource efficiency and cleaner production within the industrial sector. The project aims to establish and facilitate a dedicated resource efficiency club in a major industrial zone, assisting pilot manufacturing enterprises in optimizing their water, material, and chemical consumption while transitioning toward sustainable circular economy practices.

We are seeking a qualified Team Leader specializing in environmental management, water conservation, and waste reduction to lead this important assignment. The successful candidate will coordinate industrial technical assistance missions, guide enterprise-level optimizations, and oversee capacity-building activities to enhance environmental performance and industrial competitiveness across the participating businesses.

Aninver is preparing a proposal for this assignment. The selected expert will be part of the proposed team; the engagement is conditional on the contract being awarded to Aninver. The full Terms of Reference for the position are shared with shortlisted candidates.

Objectives of the assignment

• Mobilize and engage a group of pilot industrial enterprises within the designated target zone.
• Prepare and co-animate collective thematic training workshops on resource efficiency and cleaner production.
• Conduct on-site coaching visits and evaluate opportunities for improving environmental and water performance.
• Develop individual action plans supported by techno-economic and financial feasibility assessments for participating companies.
• Ensure knowledge transfer and produce comprehensive final reporting for industrial park management.

Scope of work

• Finalize the operational methodology, establish monitoring tools, and coordinate initial activities with project stakeholders.
• Raise awareness and secure the participation of pilot industrial enterprises in the resource efficiency club activities.
• Prepare and co-animate thematic training workshops focused on water, material, and waste management practices.
• Perform individualized technical coaching visits on-site within each participating enterprise to identify optimization potentials.
• Analyze the technical and financial feasibility of identified resource efficiency and circular economy measures.
• Formulate actionable improvement plans and oversee the final reporting and knowledge transfer processes.

Your role as Expert(e) en ERPP et économie circulaire / spécialisation environnement, gestion de l’eau ou déchets (Chef de mission / Team Leader)

• Act as Team Leader, coordinating all industrial technical assistance missions and managing the expert team.
• Lead the mobilization of pilot enterprises and facilitate direct engagement with local industrial stakeholders.
• Co-design and co-animate collective training workshops on environmental protection, water management, and waste reduction.
• Execute on-site technical coaching visits to evaluate industrial processes and environmental footprints.
• Identify and quantify resource efficiency opportunities related to water, effluents, and raw materials.
• Develop tailored individual action plans incorporating robust techno-economic and financial evaluations.
• Oversee the delivery of comprehensive project reports and ensure successful knowledge transfer to the park management.

Requirements

• Education: Diplôme d’ingénieur ou diplôme universitaire de niveau master ou équivalent en génie de l’environnement, génie sanitaire, génie chimique, génie industriel, génie des procédés, hydraulique, ou discipline connexe
• Au moins 5 années d’expérience professionnelle dans l’assistance technique aux entreprises industrielles en matière de protection de l’environnement, de gestion de l’eau, des effluents et des déchets
• Au moins 3 années d’expérience dans l’identification et la quantification d’opportunités d’efficacité des ressources (eau, matières, déchets)
• Expérience requise en coordination de missions industrielles et animation de formations pour le chef de mission
• Languages: Maîtrise du français et de l'arabe; connaissance de l'anglais souhaitée

Desirable

• Previous experience working with international organizations or UN agencies on industrial sustainability projects.
• Familiarity with circular economy frameworks and industrial symbiosis initiatives in North Africa.

An experienced environmental engineer and team leader with a strong background in industrial resource efficiency, water management, and cleaner production, fluent in French and Arabic.
