Aninver Development Partners is preparing a proposal for a consulting assignment with UNHCR in the United Arab Emirates focusing on digital fundraising and web and mobile application development services. The initiative supports the Private Sector Partnerships department in the Middle East and North Africa region to maximize digital engagement, private philanthropy, and donor acquisition through integrated online platforms.

We are currently seeking a qualified Migration Expert to join our team for this important assignment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring seamless technological transitions, data management, and system integrations across various digital environments to support the organization's regional fundraising objectives.

Aninver is preparing a proposal for this assignment. The selected expert will be part of the proposed team; the engagement is conditional on the contract being awarded to Aninver. The full Terms of Reference for the position are shared with shortlisted candidates.

Objectives of the assignment

• Manage smooth transitions, data, and content migrations for web and mobile applications.
• Ensure zero data loss and minimal downtime during system updates and platform transfers.
• Coordinate closely with technical and development teams to map out migration pathways effectively.
• Validate migrated databases, content structures, and redirection protocols.

Scope of work

• Supervising the procedure of content and data transfer from existing providers to new environments.
• Executing complex data, content, and system migrations for web and mobile platforms.
• Implementing robust redirection strategies to maintain SEO value and user accessibility.
• Testing and verifying data integrity post-migration across databases and CMS platforms.
• Collaborating with developers to troubleshoot and resolve any migration-related discrepancies.

Your role as Migration Expert

• Plan and execute comprehensive data, content, and system migration strategies.
• Manage smooth transitions of digital assets, user databases, and historical records.
• Establish and monitor URL redirection rules to prevent broken links and preserve traffic flow.
• Perform rigorous data integrity checks and validation tests following each migration phase.
• Work alongside web and mobile developers to coordinate staging and production deployment steps.
• Document migration processes, protocols, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
