Standard Format for Invitation for Bids Date: Refer to www.umucyo.gov.rw Project Name: AFTER II Construction works for the expansion of RP Kitabi College. IFB No: N/A 1. The RWANDA POLYTECHNIC (RP) has received funds from Agence Française de Développement ("AFD") towards the cost of AFTER II (Appui à la Formation Technique et à l’Emploi au Rwanda). It is intended that part of the proceeds of these funds will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Construction works for the expansion of RP Kitabi College. 2. The RWANDA POLYTECHNIC (RP) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Construction works for the expansion of RP Kitabi College ("the Works"). 3. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the umucyo e-procurement system. 4. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ten (10,000 Frw). 5. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of AFD's Standard Bidding Documents: Procurement of Works. 6. Bids must be submitted via umucyo e-procurement at the fixed deadline and must be accompanied by fixed Bid security as indicated in umucyo e-procurement system. 7. Late bids will not be accepted by the umucyo e-procurement system 8. Bids will be opened by the umucyo e-procurement automatically at the fixed indicated opening time. 9. A compulsory site visit will be carried out by each and every interested bidder. A site visit will be conducted by at least one of the authorised technical personnel who will work on this project. A proof of authorization will be presented to the client representative before the site visit kicks off. 10. The goal of the site of visit is for all bidders to be familiar with the site conditions and understanding of the material sources requirement and environmental conditions. 11.
