Skannerit sijoitetaan patologian laboratorion värjäyshuoneeseen, niitä käyttävät laitteen käyttöön perehdytetyt laboratoriohoitajat. Kuvat tallennetaan Sectran PACS-arkistointijärjestelmään DICOM-muodossa ja niitä katsellaan Sectran IDS7-katselimella. Skannerikapasiteetti mitoitetaan asiakkaan näytemäärän mukaiseksi. Lasimäärän kasvuennuste on noin 8 % /vuosi. Skannattavaksi tarkoitettuja 25 x 75 mm laseja käsitellään tällä hetkellä vuodessa noin 120 000 kpl. Suurempia 50 x 75 mm makrolaseja tulee noin 2000 kappaletta.
