Description
he Government of Mongolia, through the Ministry of
Education (“MoE”), is developing a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) pilot
project to address a significant deficit in school infrastructure across
Mongolia, with an initial focus on Ulaanbaatar City. IFC is expected to provide
transaction advisory support to MoE in structuring and tendering a concession
for the development of climate-resilient, and digitally equipped classrooms
across number of public schools from a pool of identified brownfield and
greenfield sites in Ulaanbaatar (the “Project”).
IFC seeks an international E&S consultant to
support environmental and social aspects of a transaction and ensure project
development aligns with IFC Performance Standards and competitive bidding
requirements. The consultant, contracted by and reporting to IFC, should have
expertise assessing E&S aspects in building designs and engineering,
ideally with experience in school projects. Firms with demonstrated experience
relevant to this assignment, especially in the Central Asia region and Mongolia,
are preferred.
