ADVERTISEMENT FOR HIRING OF AN INTERNATIONAL PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST (INDIVIDUAL)

The Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) has received financing from the World Bank toward the Ports and Logistics Development Program (PORTAL) (P514086), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for obtaining the services of an International Procurement Consultant.

The consulting services intends to obtain (“the Services”) include to provide procurement advice and support to the Implementing Agency, and to undertake procurement of all facets of GFPP Activities, following World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (Regulations), It is anticipated that approximately 09 Calendar Months will be required from commencement until 30 April 2027. The Consultant is expected to be physically present for the entire duration of the assignment, except for periods otherwise agreed with the Client. The Client will make its best efforts to select a consultant prior to the intended start date. The detailed Terms of Reference (TOR) for the assignment could be found in https://www.slpa.lk.

The Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) now invites Curriculum Vitae from eligible individuals (“Specialists”) intends to provide Services under this programme. Interested Specialists should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services (attaching a curriculum vitae (CV) with description of experience in similar assignments, similar conditions, etc.). The attention of interested Consultants are drawn to paragraph 3.14, 3.16 and 3.17 of the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers dated September 2025 (“the Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. The interested specialists may provide an indicative monthly/daily remuneration expectation in USD/ LKR, which shall be treated as non-binding.
