Framkvæmdaverkið felur í sér endurbyggingu Jökuldalsvegar á um 4,5 km kafla, frá Langagerði að Hákonarstöðum og er áætlað að framkvæmdinni ljúki að fullu 1. október 2027. Framkvæmdaskýrsla og afhending gagna ráðgjafa um verkið sem heild skal liggja fyrir eigi síðar en 1 mánuði eftir að uppgjöri við verktaka lýkur.
