SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE
PREQUALIFICATION FOR DRILLING OF TWENTY (20) DEEP BOREHOLES AT KIMBIJI AND MPERA: TENDER NO AE/033/2010-2011/W/04
1.This invitation for prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in Development Business under Notice No. WB 320-696/07 of January 17, 2007.
2.The United Republic of Tanzania through the Ministry of Water (MoW) in collaboration with Development Partners is implementing the Water Sector Development Program and intends toapply part of the program funds for Drilling of Twenty (20) Deep Boreholes at Kimbiji and Mpera.
3.The Dar es Salaam Water Supply and SewerageAuthority (DAWASA) intends to prequalify contractors for Drilling of Twenty (20) Boreholes at Kimbiji and Mpera. Each well will have an individual capacity of about 500 m3/h and a maximum depth of
4.Prequalification will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits,dated May 2004, revised October 2006 and May 2010, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries, as defined in the guidelines.

6.A complete set of prequalification documents in English may bepurchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzanian Shillings One Hundred Thousand (TSHS 100,000.00) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
