Investment attractions
The Delta and Porto Baros areas can be considered among the most attractive and valuable spaces in Rijeka with extensive possibilities for high class housing, pavilions, parks, shopping, entertainment, culture and tourism. The development of these areas will create a new gateway to Rijeka's magnificent waterfront. The areas comprise about 17 hectares of prime commercial landadjacent to the current city centre. Their re-development is to be carefully planned and will be in harmony with the character of the city centre. The transition from the center to the port areas to be developed will be natural as these areas constitute the main access of the city to the waterfront.
Partnership for success
To benefit from international experience as well as expedite the redevelopment, the PRA will select a developer through international competitive bidding in accordance with applicable Croatian law and competition regulations harmonized with the legislation of the European Union.
