- The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of livestock Development has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Upgrade of Livestock Market at Izom, Agaie, Kuta and Area Livestock Improvement Breeding Center at Agaie, Suleja and Bida.

Note: The project involves upgrading of an existing Livestock Markets having a site preparation and earth work, construction of administrative block, large and small ruminant shed, loading ramps, drilling of solar powered boreholes, construction of perimeter fence, Security Post and gate, public toilet, canteen, open stall, mosque and incinerator. Furthermore, upgrading of an existing Livestock Improvement and Breeding centres which involves Construction of Perimeter fence, Security Post, Reception Area, Cafeteria, Public Toilet and Veterinarian Section containing Doctor’s office, Observation Room, Holding Room, Pharmacy and Laboratory. Strict undertaking of Social and Environmental Safeguard measures.
- Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive procurement method using
Request for Bids (RFB) document as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for
IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” November, 2020- Fourth Edition “Procurement Regulations”, and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
- Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the State Project Coordinator Niger State Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) Project, State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU) and inspect the bidding document during office hours 0900 to 1600 at the address given below.
- The bidding document in English Language may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of One Hundred Thousand Naira (NGN100,000.00) only.
