QA Engineer – Philippines

Aninver Development Partners SL (www.aninver.com) is looking for a QA Engineer for a education, ict consultancy assignment financed by UNDP in Philippines.

Aninver Development Partners SL is currently preparing a technical proposal for an upcoming ICT and education sector initiative in the Philippines funded by the UNDP. We are seeking a qualified QA Engineer to join our team for this assignment. The project aims to enhance digital infrastructure and software solutions supporting educational development goals in the country.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of developed web applications. Working closely with software developers and project stakeholders, the QA Engineer will implement robust testing protocols and quality assurance standards throughout the software development lifecycle to deliver high-performing digital tools.

Aninver is preparing a proposal for this assignment. The selected expert will be part of the proposed team; the engagement is conditional on the contract being awarded to Aninver. The full Terms of Reference for the position are shared with shortlisted candidates.

Objectives of the assignment

• Ensure the delivery of bug-free, high-quality web applications supporting educational initiatives.
• Establish and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and regressions efficiently.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure adherence to technical requirements and quality standards.

Scope of work

• Reviewing software requirements, system designs, and technical specifications.
• Designing and executing manual and automated test cases for web-based platforms.
• Conducting functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Reporting and tracking identified bugs and issues using standard tracking tools.
• Verifying software fixes and ensuring successful deployment of updates.
• Participating in team meetings to discuss quality metrics and project progress.

Your role as QA Engineer

• Design, create, and execute detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Perform thorough testing of web application development projects to ensure optimal functionality.
• Identify and document system defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues promptly.
• Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved and new features are introduced.
• Ensure that all developed digital solutions meet established technical and functional requirements.
• Provide regular status reports on testing activities, test coverage, and defect metrics to the project management team.

Requirements

• Education: A bachelor’s degree with preference in computer science, management information systems, or other related information technology courses
• At least two (2) years professional experience in IT QA
• At least 2 completed projects in the role of QA in a web application development project
• Languages: Unstated

Desirable

• Previous experience working on ICT or education sector projects funded by international donors such as the UNDP.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks.

An analytical and detail-oriented QA Engineer with a strong background in testing web applications and a commitment to delivering high-quality digital solutions for the education sector.
