Aninver Development Partners SL (www.aninver.com) is looking for a Security, Payments and Blockchain Integration Expert (K-3) for a consultancy assignment financed by Ignite Investment – AfDB-funded in Ethiopia.

Aninver Development Partners is currently preparing a proposal for an African Development Bank-funded assignment in Ethiopia aimed at strengthening digital investment infrastructure. The initiative focuses on enhancing an existing equity crowdfunding platform to bridge the financing gap for small and medium enterprises by enabling secure transactions and mobilizing capital effectively within the region.

To support this mission, we are looking for a qualified Security, Payments and Blockchain Integration Expert. This specialist will play a crucial role in safeguarding the digital ecosystem, integrating reliable payment mechanisms, and implementing blockchain capabilities to ensure a robust, scalable, and secure environment for investors and entrepreneurs.

Aninver is preparing a proposal for this assignment. The selected expert will be part of the proposed team; the engagement is conditional on the contract being awarded to Aninver. The full Terms of Reference for the position are shared with shortlisted candidates.

Objectives of the assignment

• Enhance the existing IT crowdfunding platform to ensure a robust, secure, scalable, and user-friendly digital investment environment.
• Integrate robust security protocols and KYC/AML compliance features to protect user data and transactions.
• Implement secure payment gateway systems to facilitate seamless financial transactions.
• Incorporate blockchain capabilities to increase transparency and traceability within the platform.

Scope of work

• Review the existing Minimum Viable Product platform and identify security and integration bottlenecks.
• Integrate robust security protocols, KYC/AML compliance features, and administrative controls.
• Design and integrate secure payment gateway systems suitable for transaction-intensive financial platforms.
• Implement blockchain capabilities to enhance transactional security and transparency.
• Conduct rigorous security and vulnerability testing prior to deployment.
• Support the deployment of the enhanced platform into a live production environment.
• Contribute to technical documentation and targeted capacity-building workshops for local staff.

Your role as Security, Payments and Blockchain Integration Expert (K-3)

• Lead the security, compliance, and integration workstreams of the crowdfunding platform enhancement.
• Oversee the integration of secure payment gateways and financial transaction channels.
• Implement advanced blockchain integration components to support secure digital investment workflows.
• Ensure all platform features comply with relevant security standards and KYC/AML regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the architecture and development teams to resolve technical and security vulnerabilities.
• Execute rigorous security testing and risk assessments across the platform infrastructure.
• Provide technical inputs for staff training and post-deployment maintenance support.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related field
• At least 6-8 years of experience in securing and integrating financial or investment platforms
• Languages: Working proficiency in English

Desirable

• Previous professional experience working on AfDB-funded or international development projects.
• Familiarity with the East African financial technology and SME investment landscape.

An experienced cybersecurity and financial integration professional with a strong background in implementing secure payment gateways and blockchain solutions for digital investment platforms.
