Main Inspections 2027 - 2031 of Civil Structures on Cantonal Roads

1.1.1  Starting Situation Civil structures on cantonal roads must reliably fulfill their function at all times. To ensure the safety and value retention of civil structures, they must undergo a main inspection every 5 years. The inspection results with recommended measures form the basis for planning and coordinating any immediate measures, checks, repairs, or replacements. This framework agreement governs the inspections from 2027 to 2031 for a period of 5 years. 1.1.2  Overarching Goals, Quality Priorities Maintain safety and usability for road users Consistent application of uniform criteria for assessment, condition evaluation, and measure recommendation Ensure availability of personnel capacities and resources for technically sound, timely, and continuous project processing Indicate urgency of any further measures: restriction of use, check, repair, reinforcement, replacement, etc. Requirements for exceptional transport routes must be considered in the assessment Reference to the current construction program of the cantonal road network 1.1.3  Project Organization Client Head of Realization Roads Department: Daniel Pfiffner Team Leader Realization Roads: Pejo Zrakic Project Manager Realization Roads: Pejo Zrakic (change possible) The decision-making bases are prepared by the project author in consultation with the project manager vif and submitted to the department and team leader for decision. 1.1.4  Project Description Scope: The contract comprises approximately 1,500 objects on cantonal roads over the 5 years. Scope of services according to section 1.2. Dependencies: The current construction program for recommendations must be observed. The contract is financed through the civil structures' income statement. The expenditure authorization will be requested annually by vif and is a prerequisite for the annual continuation of the contract. 1.1.5  Framework Conditions The main inspections of civil structures should be carried out continuously by road section according to vif specifications. The inspectors must have completed training as a civil engineer. Personnel capacities and resources of qualified personnel for technically sound and timely project processing. A contact person (Overall Project Manager / Inspector 1) for the client.
