13-May-2026 The Government of the Republic of Angola has received financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) toward the cost of the Angola Youth Employment Project (AYEP), to promote youth employability and entrepreneurship in agriculture, transport and renewable energy industries, aimed at economic diversification and poverty reduction and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract to engage a specialized advisory firm with legal, financial, and institutional expertise to structure the financing mechanism tailored to the specific needs of the Angolan youth start-ups and MSMEs, aligned with international standards and the domestic regulatory framework, and designed to complement and leverage existing initiatives such as “Fundo de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento Agrário” (FADA), “Fundo Activo de Capital de Risco Angolano” (FACRA), “Fundo de Garantia de Crédito” (FGC), and “Banco de Desenvolvimento de Angola” (BDA) and others.
