Aninver Development Partners is currently preparing a proposal for an engineering and territorial planning consultancy in Spain. We are seeking a qualified CAD/GIS Expert to join our multidisciplinary team for a 14-month project focused on developing a comprehensive strategic territorial plan for a major municipality.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in translating spatial data, urban diagnoses, and sectoral strategies into professional cartography and visual models. This position requires strong technical expertise in computer-aided design and geographic information systems to support sustainable urban planning, climate resilience, and infrastructure management in the country.

Aninver is preparing a proposal for this assignment. The selected expert will be part of the proposed team; the engagement is conditional on the contract being awarded to Aninver. The full Terms of Reference for the position are shared with shortlisted candidates.

Objectives of the assignment

• Support the formulation of an updated and integrated strategic territorial framework for the municipality.
• Translate complex spatial and urban data into accurate digital maps and 3D models.
• Facilitate efficient spatial analysis to support multi-criteria decision-making processes.
• Integrate various sectoral plans and spatial diagnoses into a unified GIS database.
• Contribute to the visualization of future territorial scenarios and action plans.

Scope of work

• Participate in the pre-diagnosis phase through spatial data collection and baseline information management.
• Contribute to the integrated territorial diagnosis by organizing and visualizing spatial data layers.
• Support the definition of future spatial scenarios and the strategic territorial model using technical software.
• Develop professional cartography and manage Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for the assignment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary experts in urban planning, environment, and mobility to ensure accurate spatial representation.

Your role as CAD/GIS

• Design, manage, and update comprehensive GIS databases for the municipal territory.
• Produce high-quality technical drawings, plans, and 3D models using CAD software.
• Generate thematic maps reflecting environmental, infrastructural, socioeconomic, and urban indicators.
• Ensure spatial data consistency and interoperability across different planning phases and sectoral instruments.
• Collaborate closely with the planning and environmental teams to visualize spatial impacts and proposed actions.
• Prepare cartographic deliverables required for stakeholder consultations and institutional reporting.

Requirements

• Education: Delineantes
• 3 years of experience, including CAD, 3D, and GIS management
• Languages: Spanish

Desirable

• Previous experience in municipal or regional territorial planning projects in Spain.
• Familiarity with participatory planning processes and environmental data integration.

An experienced CAD/GIS professional with at least 3 years of expertise in spatial data management, 3D modeling, and technical cartography for territorial and engineering projects in Spain.
